“Sat Sri Akal” is a common greeting in the Sikh community.
Sat Sri Akal: “Truth is the Timeless One.”
Truth is, like God, ineffable.
We know Truth is present in the absence of what is not true (illusions).
As all things are everchanging, our descriptions of things are illusions; things as when we experienced them, but not as they are now.
More fundamentally, our perception of reality as separate things is an illusion. The now is the now, one ever-flowing thing. It cannot be described as descriptions create spaces separating things from their intrinsic oneness.
Truth, God, is the absence of descriptions.
God is also the Timeless One.
Time exists only in the now, where we’ve created time to slice and dice an otherwise overwhelming now.
Before the now manifests, it is the void; a timeless realm of nothing but infinite possibilities.
The void is God, the Timeless One.
Without space or time separating things, God is all there is.
Sat Sri Akal: I love and respect you as you are the manifestation of God.
